Scissor Caddy

My friend, Karen, and I made scissor caddies for our Stampin’ Up Gals (Triple B’s) for Christmas 2011. It is cute, inexpensive, and fun to make. The time it took to make one of these is five minutes at the most. Materials needed: 1 pot holder of choice, 1 pair of scissors, hot glue gun, 1 safety pin, and a tag with the words “This is the place my Scissors should be. (clip art of a scissor). If you use them, please return them to me.” and 1 embellishment of choice, e.g. brad or button. What to do: 1. fold pot holder into three-overlapping corners in the middle-make sure the hanging part of the pot holder is in the center and its orientation is up-use ample glue to put together; 2. place tag to scissor holder with a safety pin.

What to do with old playbills?

Some people love to read books or watch movies. For me, I love going to MUSICAL theatre. I go whenever I get a chance. Over the years, I have collected numerous playbills as a token of remembrance of the shows I have watched. One day, I realized that those remembrances have become clutter. What to do with old playbills? Something crafty of course. I collaged the front art of my playbills into a frame with the help of a friend. The result is something that is artsy, a remembrance of some of the awesome shows I have seen, and lastly, cleaned up my playbill clutter.
